Posting by email fixed… I think

Sorry about the delay fixing this. I think it’s working now. There will be a delay while I verify that posts are not spam, but any papers posted should be online within a couple of days.

Here are the instructions:

Quick Instructions:

  • Attach your paper to an email as a PDF (preferred), or .DOC (Word 97-2003 format) file. Or use both formats.
  • Type the course code and paper title as the subject.
  • Optionally paste the paper contents into the body of the email. (Or introduction/abstract/conclusions for longer papers.)
  • Send the email to submit at (replace at with @)

That’s the easiest way to do it. But first, please register and submit your email address, and then papers you post will be identified with your name and it will help protect against receiving spam.

You might want to find out about converting Word 2007 documents to PDF.

If you want to be more sophisticated:

  • In the subject line:
    • Put the code of the course and title of the paper
    • Put category codes (for the course and level) in square brackets:
      • eg: [ts] for Translation Studies
      • eg: [level600] for a Level 600 paper
      • (Full list of category codes below)
    • eg: [ts] [level600] TS608 Linguistics Project
  • In the body:
    • Paste the abstract and table of contents of your paper
  • Register and send papers from the registered email address to have you marked automatically as the author.

How to post your paper here: Step-by-Step Guide

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

Here’s a comprehensive guide to posting papers on NEGSTor. You might want to print this or keep it open in another window for reference as you begin to use NEGSTor. It’s quite easy really. You probably only need to refer to this once.

First, if you haven’t registered on the site yet, you need to do that.

  1. Click Register (on the right-side bar) to register for an account.1: Click Register (more…)

Welcome to NEGSTor

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Here’s where we want to try out various ways of collecting together the fruit of the hard work at NEGST so that others can easily search it out and use your work in their own research. It also should help safeguard against any temptations to plagiarise since lecturers at NEGST and elsewhere can check against all this published material.

Sign up for an account by clicking Register over on the right. Then you should be able to log in and Write articles and comment on others. You don’t need an account just to read articles. The best way to submit entries is going to be to copy and past the whole contents of the paper into the article text and attach a Word document or (better) PDF to the article like this:
